Local Places of Interest

About 10 miles east from Findochty and some 10 miles west of Macduff lies the atmospheric ruins of Findlater Castle. They can be viewed by walking from the nearby car park.

The cosmopoliton town of Elgin is 20 miles south west of Findochty. There is everything here from an ancient ruined cathedral to restraunts, nightclubs and a large variety of shops.

Spey Bay lies west of Buckie and has an interesting wildlife centre. From here you may be lucky enough to spot osprey or dolphins.

Travelling east along the A98 brings you to the small town of Banff with its' much acclaimed Duff House.
