No. 30 has a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a bathroom upstairs. Downstairs cloakroom, open plan kitchen and dining area with a seperate lounge. The kitchen is very well equipped with cooker, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and washing machine. All bed linen and towels are included in the price, as is all gas and electric. The village of Findochty lies on the Moray Firth coast. As early as the Fourteenth Century it was settled arround a small natural harbour. Nowadays it is a traditional fishing village, with the harbour being used by small boats and yachts. Findochty has a post office, newsagent, grocery shop and a pub - 'The Admiral'. Cullen lies some 4.5 miles to the east and can be reached by the coastal footpath on a bonnie day. The home of Cullen skink. This locally made fish soup featured on the TV programme 'The Woman Who Ate Scotland'. The ice cream shop is open for home made ice cream, summer and winter. Buckie some 3 miles west was developed as a fishing village. It grew dramatically during the herring fishing boom of the Nineteenth Century. It has a good range of small shops and cafes. |
